The tail rotor is designed to create a thrust force, the moment of which relative to the center of mass of the helicopter balances the reactive moment of the main rotor, and also provides the directional moment of control of the helicopter.
The steering screw is mounted on the flange of the output shaft of the tail gear and is located on the right side of the end beam.
The steering screw is also an organ of the static directional stability of the helicopter, since in flight the disk swept by the screw has a positive effect on the stability of the helicopter.
The steering screw is rotated from the main gearbox through the transmission shafts, intermediate and tail gearboxes.
The steering screw consists of a bushing and three blades.
