The electronic engine control unit ЭРД-3ВМ series 2 is part of the electronic part of the engine control system and is designed to generate control actions on the actuating mechanism of a pump-regulator that regulates fuel consumption when adjusting the speed of rotation.
The electronic engine control unit is a specialized electronic digital computer with an immutable program operating in real time, equipped with interface devices with sensors and an executive mechanism of the electronic part of the control system.
The electronic engine control unit is designed to receive electrical signals from the sensors of the electronic part of the control system, rationing and convert the signals received from the sensors, as well as to generate control signals actuating mechanism for the fuel consumption and engine shutdown according to the established program.
Structurally, the electronic engine control unit consists of a cast base with four legs and a casing. There are holes in the legs for rigid mounting of the regulator when installed on a helicopter. To improve the heat dissipation, there is no paint coating on the mounting surfaces of the legs, and there are ribs on the side walls of the base.
The electronic engine control unit used in engines TV3-117 VM (A) for helicopters “Ka” and “Mi” of various modifications (Ka-27, Ka-28, Ka-31, Ka-32, Ka-50, Ka-52, Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-25, Mi-28, Mi-36, etc.).
